Synology first introduced the Package Center with DSM 3.2. Since then, we provide software build for Synology NAS. Users all around the world trust us and we deliver thousands of packages every month.

This is a project initiated by users of the German Community (synology-forum.de). We are taking a move forward to freely distribute software while providing security and stability.

DSM 7 Demo Package for Developers

With DSM 7.0, Synology decided to further increase security for packages. To help developers finding their way and starting quickly with the RC now available, TosoBoso provided a Demo package which contains all necessary changes for DSM 7.

Full Trust Level Support

I am very happy to announce full support for DSM 5.1 trust level and signed packages.

We have started delivering our public key and will very soon offer signed packages. This represents a huge security improvement. If using CPH as package source within DSM Package Center, you can set the security level to the second level: Synology and Trusted Developers.

DSM 5.1 and Trust Level

We want to inform all users, that we are currently working on adding the "Trust Level" to our repository. As working with cryptography has to be done very carefully, it might take some time until we can provide signed certificates. Our primary goal is having it done by the release of the final version. We will keep you informed.
